As the last article emphasized how perfectly our hero, Ram handled every gloom and dire. How he reacted in virtues in vines is really remarkable. But what about Sita? What happened to her throughout life? Was she got objectified every time by Ram? How she reacted during all the melancholia of Ram and herself?
Sita is a character full of diversities. In Valmiki Ramayana, she was portrayed as an absolute obedient wife of Ram, Valmiki's intentions were absolutely pure. He was indeed in great favor of woman empowerment. Let's see how-
After writing Valmiki Ramayana, the great Sage clarified misconceptions about Sita and bolstered Ram-Sita indistinct through his next version, called Adbhut Ramayana. Here is a short view of Sita's life...
Sita was a daughter of King Janak whose kingdom was situated in today's Nepal and eastern Bihar. She was married to Ram in a Swayamvar (A competition for marriage) where Ram showed his extraordinary powers (Some versions also claim that Ravan was insulted in this ceremony). After marriage, when Ram decided to go for forest residence, she insisted to come along with him according to 7 promises done at the time of marriage- Saptapadi (This saptapadi still continues in marriages). Sita faced each calamity on Ram and always supported him. Ram also loved his wife immensely and tried his best to keep her happy. Adbhut Ramayana states Sita as a warrior woman. When she was kidnapped by Ravan and kept her for 14 years in his Ashok Vatika garden, she not only waited for Ram but also maintained her values and improved her spiritual skills.
Valmiki portrays her as a fighter woman in his Adbhut Ramayana. After winning the war with Ravan, when all Raghuvanshis return started their voyage to Ayodhya, they had a battle with a demon called Sahasranana (literal meaning: Thousand headed Ravan) who is considered as a superior one to Ravana. And brave Sita acts like Mahakali and kills Sahasranana(Reference: Adhyaya 23, Adbhut Ramayana by Maharshi Valmiki). Then she returns to her original form and leaves human form and Ram leaves for Ayodhya.
Even today, every Indian woman is a manifestation of Sita. Sita always helped Ram emotionally and stood with him in every situation. Not just because of responsibility, but because of pure love which she expressed as responsibility. She was in passive mode when his Ram was searching and fighting for her, but as soon as she saw Ram endangered against Sahasranana in the battlefield of Pushkar, she completely transformed herself and led the front.
People argue about reality of Ramayana nowadays and call it myth. Let's leave this discussion till you get the message from Ramayan and understand Shri Ram. You can consider Ram in two ways :

1) An incarnation of God who showed how to live ideally.
2) A King of Ayodhya who lived his life in way that people started worshipping him
But in both ways, there's nothing to hate him. You may belong to any religion, cast and creed , worship him, learn from him and you'll find your life simpler.
